Technical Deep-Dive: Power, Voltage, and Dimensions
Here’s the reality of a Husky HyPET line: the heating zone is cramped, and the clock is ticking. So we packed serious heat into a small footprint. We went with a 400V rating to push the right current through the filament, keeping the control electronics happy and stable within the machine’s existing setup. The 2500W output is there for one purpose: to snap into action during those super-short heating windows. And the 300mm length? It’s a perfect match for the standard heating zone, giving you full, even coverage without any gaps or shadows.
Material & Design: Halogen, Quartz, Coating, and Connectors
We chose a halogen-filled quartz envelope because it can take the heat—and the constant on-off cycling—without getting soft. The halogen chemistry keeps the filament from breaking down, so the lamp stays consistent over time. The shortwave IR coating is tuned to hit the absorption sweet spot for PET. That means more energy goes straight into heating the preform, not just warming the air around it. And when it’s time to swap it in, the R7s base clicks right into the reflector socket for a secure, solid fit. The Sk15 connector handles the high current without relying on flimsy crimps. It’s all about getting back up and running with minimal downtime.

High-speed blow molding doesn’t forgive weak heating. This lamp is all about penetration, driving heat deep into the preform wall fast. That makes the material flow better during stretching and smooths out those temperature differences. The result? You get consistent output, even at top speed. Fewer pinholes. More predictable bottle weight. But there’s one thing to keep in mind: 2500W at 400V puts out a lot of heat. Your machine’s cooling and airflow need to be in good shape.
