Technical Deep-Dive
Here’s the secret to the speed: high-voltage operation. We’re talking 400V, which dumps energy fast. High voltage means lower current for the same power. That keeps stress off the conductors and terminals, even while you’re pushing out serious heat. And because the tube is short—around 300mm—you get a ton of heat packed into a small space. That concentration is exactly what lets the deck surface snap to the temperature you set, instead of lagging behind.
Material & Design
Inside, you’ll find a halogen-filled quartz tube with a shortwave IR output. The halogen chemistry keeps the filament stable, so output stays consistent over time, even when you’re cycling the element on and off constantly. And the quartz? It handles thermal shock like a champ. Rapid cycling won’t crack it. We topped it off with an R7s connector. It’s a secure, high-temperature connection that’s also a direct drop-in for standard oven sockets. No need to modify the deck assembly. Just plug it in and wire it up. The outer coating reflects IR back toward the target, which boosts efficiency and keeps wasted heat from bleeding into the oven chassis.
