Built for the grind We use high-purity quartz glass because we need that shortwave IR radiation to punch through the PET walls without wasting time. And since rotary machines vibrate like crazy, we toughened up the connectors. They’re designed to take a beating. Plus, they’re a direct drop-in. You won’t have to mess around with the oven housing or rewrite your electrical layout just to get them working. One quick warning Here’s the thing: these lamps push a massive amount of energy into a tiny space to get those preforms soft enough to blow. It’s powerful stuff, but it means you have to keep your reflectors polished. If your reflectors are pitted or oxidized, you lose that IR bounce-back. The lamp ends up running hotter than it should, which kills the filament. Keep them clean. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself replacing tubes twice as often, and nobody wants to do that.
